Academic and professional experiences
Dr. Helena Lomberg earned her PhD from the Medical Faculty in the
Department of Clinical Immunology at the University of Göteborg.
In 1989, after a three year post-doctoral fellowship, Helena joined the
pharmaceutical industry. Since then Helena has supervised clinical operation
organizations and projects in the Nordic countries, Lithuanian, Poland, and
the US. She has an in depth knowledge of the prerequisites to drive
clinical trials. Additionally, Helena, from 1999- 2003, took part in various
international projects which designed and implemented major procedural
changes in Product Development at Bayer Pharmaceutical to improve
As a former member and Chairman of the Board of the
Swedish Society for Clinical Trials, Helena has gained extensive experience
in developing training programs and leading initiatives to improve
conditions for conducting clinical trials in Sweden. She works with an
extensive network of clinical trial professionals and is frequently an invited
speaker and chairman at various workshops and training events.
In 2005 Helena was awarded a scholarship from the Swedish Society
for Clinical Trials regarding her contributions in improving conditions
on conducting clinical trials in Sweden.

Directed clinical research staff and clinical trial projects in Sweden,
Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Lithuanian.
